Both the Bladez Fitness U400 and Bladez Fitness U500i Upright Exercise Bikes are well-built bikes, with lots of features, programs and resistance levels to keep your workouts varied and progressively challenging.

Iodine

Phosphorus

What are Minerals and How do they Help with the Body's Health, Explained

Minerals are inorganic nutrients required in the structural composition of hard and soft body tissues and also play a part in processes such as the action of enzyme systems, the contraction of muscles, nerve reactions and the clotting of blood.

Similar to the function of vitamins, minerals work together with other nutrients to ensure the efficient functioning of the body, so it’s important to ensure an all-round balanced diet.

Some minerals are incorporated into the body’s structure to give added strength, e.g. calcium helps to strengthen the teeth and bones.  Other minerals are ionised in body fluids or are bound to organic compounds to form molecules, such as hormones, enzymes etc.

Altogether, minerals make up about 4% of a person’s total body weight, with calcium and phosphorus accounting for around 3% (as bone salts), while the rest of the minerals account for around 1%).

The IF Intermittent Fasting Diet Explained for Weight Loss & Good Health

Also known as the 5:2 Diet, made popular by medical journalist Dr Michael Mosley, the IF or Intermittent Fasting Diet is more of a healthy lifestyle change that is easy to follow and could help not only with weight loss but with improving your overall health too.

When you think of the word “fasting” you may be imagining that you have to completely abstain from any food, so before you panic let me explain that the IF Diet does not involve completely abstaining from food!  Rather, the IF Diet involves cutting down your calorie intake for just 2 days a week.  Now that doesn’t sound so bad does it?!


How does the IF Intermittent Fasting Diet Work?

The IF Intermittent Fasting Diet works by eating normally for 5 days per week and cutting your calorie intake on just 2 days per week to around a quarter of the normal recommended daily calorie intake, as follows:

·         For women:  2 days per week at 500 calories per day (other 5 days at normal recommended calorie intake of 2000 calories per day).
·         For men:  2 days per week at 600 calories per day (other 5 days at normal recommended calorie intake of 2500 calories per day).

On your fasting days, you can choose how and when you consume the lower calories – you may prefer to have 2 or 3 small portions throughout the day or 1 bigger portion either in the morning, mid-day or evening, it’s entirely up to you.



Helpful tip:  Protein such as lean meats, fish, pulses, nuts and seeds will help to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
