Comparing ProForm Pro 2000 versus ProForm Pro 2500 Treadmill, What's the Difference?

Impact on your joints is reduced with these treadmills cushioned decks.  The ProForm Pro 2000 features a ProShox lite Cushioning Deck, while the ProForm 2500 features a FS2 Full Surface Suspension Cushioning system.

The ProForm Pro 2000 features an extra wide belt size, being 22” wide and 60” long.  The belt on the ProFrom Pro 2500 is the same length as the 2000 treadmill at 60” long but slightly narrower at 20” wide.  The Pro 2000’s belt is only 1-ply compared to the Pro 2500’s belt which is 2-ply.  The rollers on the 2 treadmills also differ, with the ProForm Pro 2000 utilizing 2.5” Precision machined and balanced non-flex rear roller, while the ProForm Pro 2500’s roller size is slightly larger at 3”.

The ProForm Pro 2000 and 2500 treadmills both come with easy-to-use consoles but offer different features to each other.  The ProForm Pro 2000 offers 24 preset workouts while the ProForm Pro 2500 offers more variety with 30 built-in workouts.  The LCD screens on both treadmills differ, with the Pro 2000 having an 8” backlit display while the Pro 2500 has a 7” full color touch screen.  Workouts stats are displayed on both the treadmills’ screens to keep you motivated as you exercise, including time, distance, speed, calories burned, pulse, and incline.

Additional features on both these ProForm Pro treadmills include: a built-in fan to keep you cool; a sound system with input for your iPod/MP3 so you can listen to your favorite music as you exercise; integrated tablet holder; pulse hand-grip sensors in the handlebars (the ProForm Pro 2500 also comes with a wireless chest pulse strap).

For additional workout options, the ProForm Pro 2500 features built-in iFit Live technology, enabling you to:  simulate trails and routes from around the world with Google Maps; follow unique weight loss programs; compete with other iFit members in races; track activities, and more!  The ProForm Pro 2000 does not have iFit Live built-in but is iFit Live compatible (requiring the purchase of an optional module).

Both the ProForm Pro 2000 and 2500 feature a space-saving design with an EasyLift Assist fold-up deck and transportation wheels for portability.

With dual moving/static handlebars, you can choose to work both your upper and lower body at the same time or hold onto the static handlebars and just work the lower body.

The Gold Gym Stride Trainer 450i is the up-graded model over the 450 and is enabled with iFit Bluetooth Smart technology which the 450 doesn’t have.  An iFit membership will enable you to have access to an expanding fitness library for even more workout options and you can even exercise following routes powered by Google Maps!  iFit will also automatically track your workout stats.

Although the Gold Gym 450 doesn’t have iFit compatibility, it does offer an exclusive on-board 8-week weight loss program that works by controlling the resistance of your workouts.

Apart from the difference between iFit enabled or not, the Gold Gym Stride Trainer 450i and 450 are essentially the same machine.  Both elliptical trainers come with a large LCD screen with a target pacer that tracks your speed, time, distance, and calories burned.  Your heart-rate can also be measured via the grip pulse heart-rate monitors integrated into the handlebars.
