Gazelle Gliders, including the Supreme, Freestyle and Edge, offer you a low impact form of exercising which will help to tone both your upper and lower body as well as burning calories and improving your cardiovascular health.

Benefits of Gazelle Gliders

Exercising with a Gazelle Glider provides you with both aerobic and resistance training in one workout.  You get the benefits of stretching, walking, jogging, skiing, dancing, and resistance training without the impact to your joints that many other forms of exercising gives.

How Gazelle Gliders Work

There are several basic gliding exercises you can perform with the Gazelle including, low, wide, high, push, and power glides.  You swing your arms and legs backwards and forwards in a kind of scissoring motion.  Longer strides will stretch the muscles more.

The exercises can be varied by leaning backwards or forwards, by bending the knees, or by releasing the arm handles.  You can work both the upper and lower body together or alternatively hold onto the crossbar to work just the lower body.

How you position your body on the Gazelle Glider can also help to vary the workout and target specific muscles more:

·         Lift your heals off the pedals to target your calf muscles.
·         Crouch down to push up and target your quadriceps.
·         Lean forward to target your biceps and chest muscles.
·         Lean backwards to target your hamstrings and buttocks.
·         Move the elbows outwards to target the lats and shoulders.
·         Stand sideways to target your inner and outer thighs.
·         Hold long strides to target your abs.

Which Gazelle Glider Should You Get?

Gazelle offer 3 different gliders:

See what customers who have bought either  the Gazelle Supreme, Freestyle or Edge Exercise Gliders have to say about them:

R.I.:
“I bought the Gazelle Supreme after having looked into lots of other exercise machine options.  I looked into elliptical trainers but only the very expensive ones seemed any good and also they are heavy machines.  I wanted something that was more mobile and that I could put out of the way when I’m not using it.  The Gazelle Supreme Glider fitted my needs perfectly in terms of price, mobility and robustness.  The only thing I wasn’t sure about was whether it would give me the workout I wanted – exercise the muscles and break a sweat.  After having used the Gazelle now for several months, I’m pleased to say it has met all my requirements.  I use it for about 15 minutes a day and I feel like I have exercised in all the right ways.  My muscles feel tired but not painful, and my lungs feel better.  I can achieve a high heart-rate and maintain it without too much difficulty throughout the exercise.  I can concentrate on different muscles by leaning in different ways on the machine.  This is exactly what I was looking for and works great for me.  It’s not too expensive either.”

B.C.:
“The Gazelle Freestyle Glider was a great price and was delivered quickly within 2 days.  It was well-packaged with no signs of damage or missing parts.  Assembling the Glider was easy.  I watched the beginners DVD and it looks impressive.  Haven’t watched the advanced DVD yet.  We’ve had fun using this machine.  Gazelle promised it would deliver a total body workout with putting stress on the joints and that is exactly what it does.  It’s a stable and quiet machine with no signs of squeaking or instability while in use.  I’m excited to see the results from using it!”

Y.Y.:
“I love my Gazelle Edge Glider.  It’s an affordable machine.  It’s easy to use and gives you a total body workout for a fraction of a little hard work!  It can give you strong toned muscles, trim your stomach, tone your arms and shape your legs.  I’m very satisfied.”

N.B.  It’s always advisable to consult your doctor or health care professional before undertaking any new exercise regime.
