Both the Schwinn 430 and Schwinn 470's console features dual LCD windows to display motivating workout stats such as time, distance, speed, calories burned and pulse heart rate. However, the displays are slightly different in that the Schwinn 470 has a blue backlit display which the Schwinn 430 doesn't have. The Schwinn 430 is not telemetry enabled like the Schwinn 470 is, but both elliptical machines have pulse-grip heart-rate monitors built into the handlebars.
In addition, the Schwinn 430 and Schwinn 470 Elliptical Trainers offer Goal Tracking, USB charging and data export to Schwinn Connect and My Fitness Pal. You can seamlessly transfer workout data to online fitness tracking apps with the Schwinn 470's Bluetooth connectivity or use the USB port on the Schwinn 430.

Summary
There’s no doubt that the Schwinn 470 is a better elliptical trainer than the 430 which reflects its higher price. As you can see for yourself, the main differences come down to the amount of programs and resistance levels that both Schwinn ellipticals have to offer, together with the amount of different users that can use these elliptical machines. The Schwinn 470 also has a better visual display screen that's easier on the eyes to look at. Also don’t forget to note the difference between the manual or motorized incline on the Schwinn 430 and 470 if this is something that you will be using a lot.
For many people, the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer Machine would be more than adequate for their needs. Choosing this elliptical trainer would be saving you around $200-$300!
But if you are one of those people who want more of a challenge, then the Schwinn 470 may be a better option for you. The extra cash may also be worth spending if you have more than two people in your household who wish to use the elliptical trainer on a regular basis.
