SNODE E20 versus E20i Elliptical Trainer Machine, Comparison Review

Both the SNODE E20 and E20i Elliptical Trainer Machines are sturdily constructed with a nice compact design to fit easily in to a small space in your home and at a nice price that won’t break the bank!

The SNODE E20 Elliptical is an entry-level manual machine (with battery operated console) while the SNODE E20i is more of a mid-range electric machine with a better console, more resistance levels, programs and Bluetooth capabilities that the E20 doesn’t have.

Heavy-duty Cross Crank for increased durability & added stability on SNODE E20 and E20i Elliptical Trainer Machines
Heavy-duty Cross Crank for increased
durability & added stability
Both the SNODE E20 and E20i Elliptical Trainer Machines operate surprisingly smoothly and quietly thanks to their magnetic resistance system and 22 lb inertia flywheel.  Both machines feature a rear-drive system with a heavy-duty Cross Crank that provides increased durability and added stability as you exercise.

Compactly designed, the SNODE E20 and E20i Elliptical Machines both offer a 13.78” stride length with large non-slip footplates for safety and can be operated in forward or backward motion.

The dual handlebars on both elliptical machines allow you the option of working just your lower body by holding onto the static handlebars or your entire body by holding on to the moving handlebars as you pedal.

As previously mentioned, the SNODE E20i Elliptical Trainer offers more resistance levels than the E20 – twice as many in fact!  The E20i offers 16 levels of electronically controlled magnetic resistance compared to 8 magnetic resistance levels on the E20.  Both are controlled via a simple to use resistance turn dial knob, but the E20i’s dial is located on the console itself while the E20’s dial is located on the machine’s frame beneath the console.

The resistance levels on both elliptical machines give you a good range to work with and allow you total control over the intensity of your workout.  For more challenge and variety, the SNODE E20i also offers 12 motion programs ranging from beginner to advanced and sporty.  The SNODE E20 does not offer any workout programs, rather it is a simple get on and go elliptical trainer without any fuss!

An additional feature the SNODE E20i has which the E20 does not have is Bluetooth capability.  The E20i features Bluetooth Smart technology which is compatible with the free iConsole App (available on both iOS and Android devices) for those of you who like to track your workout data online and for additional training options.

As you can see from the images, the SNODE E20 and SNODE E20i Elliptical Machines come with different consoles – the SNODE E20 comes with a simple digital LCD monitor while the E20i comes with a better digital LCD monitor with eye-protection Blu-ray screen.  Both consoles are straightforward and easy to use and display motivating workout stats including time, speed, distance, calories burned and pulse heart-rate.

Both the SNODE E20 and SNODE E20i Elliptical Trainers feature pulse grip heart-rate sensors built into the static handlebars to help you keep track and stay within your target heart-rate zone as you exercise.

Summary:

The SNODE E20 and SNODE E20i Elliptical Trainer Machines are surprisingly well-built for such low prices, making them great value for money.  They are both sturdy, smooth and quiet in operation and a nice compact size that makes them ideal for homes where space is limited.

Whilst the E20 is the more basic of the two SNODE machines, it is still a good elliptical trainer for the price and is ideal for people who just want to get on with exercise without all the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive machines which let’s be honest have features a lot of people don’t even use!  The added advantage of the E20 is that it is manually operated so you don’t have to worry about finding a space near a wall/power socket.

If you’re looking for a bit more of a challenge, then the SNODE E20i with its extra resistance levels and workout programs is the machine for you.  For the relatively small extra cost over the E20, you also get the upgraded console and Bluetooth connectivity which makes this elliptical trainer a steal!
