Both the Horizon Fitness elliptical trainers are solid well-built machines, with a 14.3 lb flywheel and smooth magnetic brake resistance system. The Horizon Fitness EX 69 2 is the higher-end model over the EX 59 2 and as such offers some extra features, such as additional resistance levels (20 versus 16), manual incline options (no incline options on the EX 59 2), and a slightly longer stride length (20" versus 18").
The Horizon Fitness EX 59 2 and EX 69 2 elliptical trainers both offer 10 workout programs, but the EX 69 2 also includes an Advanced Goal Center. The consoles also differ between these 2 Horizon elliptical trainers with the EX 69 2 having a slightly larger LCD screen (5.75" versus 5"). The display on the EX 69 2 is green-backlit while the EX 59 2's display is grey. Both consoles display motivating workout stats including time, speed, distance, calories burned and heart-rate (via pulse contact-grip heart-rate monitors).
