WaterRower Rowing Machines’ water flywheel system comprises of 2 paddles in an enclosed water tank that offers self-regulated resistance, i.e. drag is increased by paddling faster for harder resistance or paddle slower for less resistance.  The amount of water in the tank also affects the intensity/resistance of the workout.

WaterRowers are virtually maintenance-free with no moving parts to wear out and even the recoil belt and pulleys require no maintenance or lubrication.

WaterRower S4 Monitor

Most of the WaterRowers come with an S4 Performance Monitor so you can track your progress as you workout.  The S4 Monitor includes 6 information and programming windows, 6 Quick Selection buttons and 3 Navigation buttons.  Motivating workout stats displayed on the S4 include intensity, stroke rate, heart-rate (wireless chest-strap compatible), zone bar, duration, distance and Watts.

Some of the WaterRowers are available with Hi-Rise attachments that raise the Rowing Machine by around an extra 8” off the ground to make it easier to get on and off the seat.

The seat/rail system on the WaterRowers can differ with some of them constructed with a dual rail system while others are constructed with a Mono rail system.
