Gazelle Gliders, including the Supreme, Freestyle and Edge, offer you a low impact form of exercising which will help to tone both your upper and lower body as well as burning calories and improving your cardiovascular health.

Benefits of Gazelle Gliders

Exercising with a Gazelle Glider provides you with both aerobic and resistance training in one workout.  You get the benefits of stretching, walking, jogging, skiing, dancing, and resistance training without the impact to your joints that many other forms of exercising gives.

How Gazelle Gliders Work

There are several basic gliding exercises you can perform with the Gazelle including, low, wide, high, push, and power glides.  You swing your arms and legs backwards and forwards in a kind of scissoring motion.  Longer strides will stretch the muscles more.

The exercises can be varied by leaning backwards or forwards, by bending the knees, or by releasing the arm handles.  You can work both the upper and lower body together or alternatively hold onto the crossbar to work just the lower body.

How you position your body on the Gazelle Glider can also help to vary the workout and target specific muscles more:

·         Lift your heals off the pedals to target your calf muscles.
·         Crouch down to push up and target your quadriceps.
·         Lean forward to target your biceps and chest muscles.
·         Lean backwards to target your hamstrings and buttocks.
·         Move the elbows outwards to target the lats and shoulders.
·         Stand sideways to target your inner and outer thighs.
·         Hold long strides to target your abs.

Which Gazelle Glider Should You Get?

Gazelle offer 3 different gliders:

·         Gazelle Supreme Glider
·         Gazelle Freestyle Glider
·         Gazelle Edge Exercise Glider

All the Gazelle Gliders work in a similar way and offer the same exercise and health benefits.  The Gazelle Supreme Glider is the top of the range model and comes with Power Pistons to give a hydraulic resistance for a more challenging workout, which the other models don’t have.  The Gazelle Edge Exercise Glider is the middle of the range, while the Gazelle Edge Exercise Glider is the basic and lowest priced model.

Let’s take a look at the differences between the Gazelle Supreme, Freestyle and Edge Gliders to help you decide which one is best for you:
