The StairMaster StepMill SM3 and SM5 consist of a revolving set of stairs that offer a step range of between 26 and 162 steps per minute, together with a computer console that offers a total of 10 workout programs to keep your workouts interesting and challenging, while the large easy-to-read display shows your workout stats.

The SM3 is a smaller version of the StairMaster StepMill with a revolving set of 6” stairs, whereas the SM5 is a larger more heavy-duty machine and offers a revolving set of 8” stairs.  In addition, the StairMaster StepMill SM5 has an updated console with touch-screen design.  There is a big price difference between the two StairMasters, with the StepMill SM3 retailing online at around half the price of the higher-end SM5 model.
