Both the Echelon Smart Connect EX1 and EX3 are well-constructed spin bikes, designed with advanced technologies and ergonomic features to bring you a smooth, quiet and comfortable workout.

The Echelon Smart Connect EX3 is the updated model of the EX1 Spin Bike with a few upgraded features including a new motor for precise magnetic resistance, a new indexing resistance adjustment knob, a competition seat with 6” seat lever-style adjustment instead of the seat knob adjustment on the EX1, and new lightweight triangular tubing construction.

Both the Echelon Smart Connect EX1 and EX3 Spin Bikes feature Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to connect your own mobile device to the Echelon Fit App (subscription required) available on both Android and iOS.  The Echelon Fit App gives you access to a huge range of great training classes from certified instructors with Live or On Demand classes (over 1,500) and Scenic Routes.  You can also ride along with other cyclists from around the world, track your workout progress and more to keep you challenged and motivated.

Ergonomically designed, both the Echelon Smart Connect EX1 and EX3 feature adjustable stabilization handles and 4-way adjustable saddle.  The saddle differs between the two bikes, with the EX1 featuring a comfort saddle while the EX3 features a competition saddle.

As previously mentioned, the EX3 uses lever-style adjustments while the EX1 uses knob adjustments but both spin bikes offer the same level of adjustability:  the handlebars adjust up/down with 9 levels of adjustment (15mm/per level) while the seat adjusts both up/down and forwards/backwards for a custom fit with 17 height adjustment levels (15mm/per level) and 7 forward/backward adjustments (13.3mm/per level).

Both the Echelon Smart Connect EX1 and EX3 Spin Bikes come with dual-sided pedals, i.e. SPD compatible and toe-cage.  Both the EX1 and EX3 have a Q-factor of 202 mm.
