The WaterRower S1 Rowing Machine brings you all the functionality of WaterRower’s traditional wooden rowing machines but with a brushed stainless steel construction for a sleek modern look.

The WaterRower S1 Rowing Machine utilizes a “water flywheel” that simulates a true rowing feel.  The flywheel, consisting of 2 paddles in an enclosed water tank, provides smooth and quiet resistance that is self-regulated, i.e. you increase the drag by paddling faster for more resistance.

Like all WaterRowers, the S1’s movement is incredibly smooth and fluid compared to other types of rowing machines.  The patented Water Flywheel is designed specifically to emulate the dynamics of a real rowing boat moving through water and there’s just nothing like it for simulating the feel of real outdoor rowing in the comfort of your own home or local gym.

The WaterRower S1 is designed to be very low maintenance.  There’s no motor or other parts that need regular oiling, cleaning etc.  The S1 utilizes smooth nylon strapping instead of chains and a pulley-free bungee cord.  The tank is enclosed so you don’t get any dust build-up and the brushed stainless steel frame is easy to clean.
