The Schwinn Journey 2.5 and 2.0 recumbent bikes are solidly constructed and well-designed with ergonomic comforts and plenty of features to keep your workouts varied and challenging.  Both recumbent bikes feature a high-speed high-inertia perimeter-weighted flywheel together with ECB magnetic resistance to provide a quiet workout with smooth consistent motion.

The Schwinn Journey 2.5 is the high-end model over the Journey 2.0 and offers several up-grades including more resistance levels (25 compared to 20) and more workout programs (29 compared to 22).

Both consoles offer performance tracking with Goal Tracker and you can also track your goals online by using the console’s USB port to export your data to Schwinn Connect or My Fitness Pal.  The USB port can also be used to charge your mobile phone/tablet.  The Schwinn Journey 2.0 allows for 2 different user profiles, while the Journey 2.5 allows for 4 which is useful if there’s several people in your household who want to use the recumbent bike on a regular basis.

Both the Schwinn Journey 2.5 and 2.0 feature a surprisingly good sound system with acoustic chambered speakers and MP3 input so you can listen to your favorite music as you exercise.  There’s also a handy media shelf to place your mobile device so you can watch a movie or read while you cycle.

Both recumbent bikes also come with a 3-speed fan to help keep you cool and there’s a handy water bottle holder mounted at the side of the seat so you can keep hydrated as you exercise.

Both the Schwinn Journey 2.5 and 2.0 are constructed with a step-through recumbent frame for easy mounting and dismounting the bike.  The seats differ between the 2 bikes with the Journey 2.5 having a contoured padded seat bottom with large vented backrest, while the Journey 2.0 has a contoured vented seat bottom and vented backrest.

Both seats are adjustable for different user heights with an easy-to-use sliding seat rail adjustment lever.

The Schwinn Journey 2.5 has a better 3-piece crank system compared to the Journey 2.0’s 1-piece crank.  Both recumbent bikes feature 2 integrated levelers for added stability and allow for a maximum user weight capacity of up to 300 lbs.

Both the Schwinn MY16 830 and Schwinn MY17 870 Treadmills feature motorized inclines for additional challenge, with the MY17 870 model offering 0-15% incline while the 830 model is slightly less at 0-12% incline.

The Schwinn MY17 870 Treadmill incorporates a more powerful motor than the MY16 830 (3.0 chp compared to 2.5 chp) and features a slightly longer running belt at 60” long compared to the 830’s 55” long belt.  Both belts are 20” wide. 

The Schwinn MY17 870’s belt is also thicker (2 ply compared to 1 ply) and is constructed with more cushioning than the Schwinn MY16 830 (6 cell SoftTrack compared to 4 cell SoftTrack) providing less impact on your joints when running.

The Schwinn MY17 870 Treadmill comes with an upgraded console over the  MY16 830 - the 870 features a DualTrack display instead of the single display of the 830, and the 870 also offers Bluetooth connectivity which the 830 does not have.  Both consoles are packed with features, including a USB port, 4 user profiles, a sound system with acoustic chambered speakers with MP3 input, a 3 speed cooling fan, a built-in media shelf and dual water bottle holders.

Both treadmills offer heart-rate monitoring so you can keep within your target heart rate zone.  You can measure your heart-rate via either the built-in contact pulse grip sensors located in the handlebars or use the telemetry enabled console with a wireless heart-rate chest strap.  A chest strap is included with the Schwinn MY17 870 but not with the Schwinn MY16 830.

Being the higher-end bike, the Schwinn MY17 170 is constructed for more heavy-duty use and as such has some premium features over the MY16 130, including an upgraded crank system (3-piece compared to 1-piece) and over-sized pedals compared to standard pedals.
