Both recumbent bikes feature a high-speed high-inertia perimeter-weighted flywheel together with ECB magnetic resistance to provide a quiet workout with smooth consistent motion.
The Schwinn Journey 2.5 is the high-end model over the Journey 2.0 and offers several up-grades including more resistance levels (25 compared to 20) and more workout programs (29 compared to 22).
Both the consoles on these 2 Schwinn recumbent bikes feature Dual Track LCD display, but the Journey 2.5’s screens are blue backlit for easier viewing. Both consoles display up to 13 different feedback stats to keep you motivated as you cycle. (See full details of programs and statistics displayed in the table and bullet-list below).
Both consoles offer performance tracking with Goal Tracker and you can also track your goals online by using the console’s USB port to export your data to Schwinn Connect or My Fitness Pal. The USB port can also be used to charge your mobile phone/tablet. The Schwinn Journey 2.0 allows for 2 different user profiles, while the Journey 2.5 allows for 4 which is useful if there’s several people in your household who want to use the recumbent bike on a regular basis.
Both the Schwinn Journey 2.5 and 2.0 feature a surprisingly good sound system with acoustic chambered speakers and MP3 input so you can listen to your favorite music as you exercise. There’s also a handy media shelf to place your mobile device so you can watch a movie or read while you cycle.
Both recumbent bikes also come with a 3-speed fan to help keep you cool and there’s a handy water bottle holder mounted at the side of the seat so you can keep hydrated as you exercise.
